The practice

Live is where most Indian performers actually earn. Tour architecture, festival programming, private stages and corporate bookings each have different economics, different risk and different reputational consequences, and they are usually managed by whoever answered the phone.

Route design is economics

A tour routed badly loses money on travel and crew even when every show sells. Venue capacity, ticket pricing, market sequencing and settlement terms determine whether a tour is a business or a promotional expense.

Private events pay the most and disclose the least

Weddings and private functions are the highest yield stage in India. They also carry the highest risk of non-payment, scope creep and unauthorised recording. Clean contracting is the whole job.

Festivals buy line-up position

Where you appear on a poster is a negotiated commercial asset, not a courtesy. Slot, stage, billing size and set length all belong in the agreement.

Brand partners travel with the tour

A tour is a media property. Sponsors buy audience, content and association, and that revenue is frequently left uncollected.

Frequently asked

Live & Touring, in plain terms.

Do you act as a promoter?

No. We advise the artist and structure the terms. Promotion and ticketing stay with promoters and platforms.

How are private events priced?

By audience, location, set length, exclusivity and how much notice there is. The last factor moves price more than most artists realise.

What about payment risk?

Advance percentages, escrow where warranted, and clear cancellation terms. Most disputes in this market are payment disputes.
